Hello, my name is Ernir Erlingsson and I´m born and bred in Iceland but I’ve lived in Germany for almost a decade. I´m a PhD student at the University of Iceland working full-time as an academic researcher within the fields of machine learning and high performance computing. My research is performed within the frame of DEEP-EST which is an EU funded research project in high performance computing.
Previously I spent over a decade working as a full-stack mobile application developer for an Icelandic company I co-founded. Furthermore, I´m also an avid supporter of open-source software and I try to contribute with my time and skill set.
